I have been asked just what is earthstar ecology and I will attempt to answer that question in more detail. The truth is though that this is an evolving project and as I learn more my vision expands more. So here goes with my current theeling about it.
Ecology was defined as the study of the relationship between organisms and the environment. During my master’s research in ecology, Spirit showed me the flaws in the scientific method. I almost quit my program because of these revelations that there are no observers in the universe only participants. In other words, by observing something you change it. It is why there can be different outcomes to the same experiment which can and will be influenced by the intention of the experimenter.
After I defended and published my research, I began to explore quantum physics and then healing methods that employed universal life force energy. My Reiki initiations opened me to intuitive experiences that further helped me to realize that science had only half the picture of ecology which by definition is the study of the relationship of organisms with their environment. Then came Gaia Theory, a hypothesis suggested by scientist James Lovelock that proposed that biotic and abiotic members of earth co-evolved with the environment to support life as a self-sustaining whole. Lovelock used a computer model called Daisyworld to support his hypothesis.
This theory though did not include the energy of Gaia because like us, Mother Earth has a physical body and energy bodies. I then became interested in learning shamanic earth practices which tapped into this expansive topic. Shamanic astrology then helped me realize the wisdom and healing which exists with planets, stars, and the Cosmos.
Now I have a much bigger picture and my definition of environment includes not just Mother Earth’s environment but Father Sky’s as well. A view indicative of the indigenous cultures of Earth that have always known this and practiced it for wholeness and right relationship within themselves, with all Earth beings, and with the Star Beings. EarthStar Ecology is a collection of practices I’ve learned that have been most useful to me in healing myself and others be they people, pets, or Nature. Know that there are many many other practices that are just as useful. I’m still collecting useful practices and wish to share them with you!
